When You Cross the Causeway to Enders Island, the Rest of the World Remains Behind You

Since being gifted by Dr. Thomas and Alys Enders in 1954, Enders Island has grown to serve as a ministry of hope and healing, providing spiritual retreats, an Institute of Sacred Art, and a ministry to those in recovery.  For over 70 years this 11-acre island has been a respite for retreatants, residents, and visitors alike. Many visitors to Enders Island describe the experience as transformative, but for the Recovery Residence community it can be life-saving. Our mission has been to offer hope, healing, renewal, and recovery – enabling a new way of life.

Planned gifts help to further this mission by ensuring the future of our Island as a sanctuary of healing and hope for generations to come. Moreover, planned gifts help the Island support our Recovery Residence Community, Sacred Art Institute, and Retreat Ministry – honoring Alys Enders’ wish for the Island to be preserved and to provide a home for religious and charitable purposes.
